"We were on our 3rd Sleep Number bed but the first one where we had to accept a "pillow top" on it. While it was comfortable before buying the mattress topper, after 2 1/2 years, the pillow top was getting compressed where our "butts" lay! After looking at several websites, we saw this topper here on Amazon. The reviews were mostly favorable so we ordered it.
We let it lay out for a couple days but there was no objectionable smell even when first unrolling it. It has added significant comfort to our mattress! Select Comfort (Sleep Number beds) now makes a memory foam top but the matttresses with it are significantly more expensive than the one we have. The density on this topper seems just about right"
