"Read all the reviews and was nervous to buy because of the possibility of noisy transformers, but had no problem after we installed it. Cannot hear any sound from the transformers unless you actually put your ear physically to the transformer. Placed the transformers under the bed frame and moved them half way down the bed because of concerns, but no noise. So I don't know if the design was changed, or just under some conditions it makes noise. Maybe it depends on the electrical circuit and how well it's isolated or grounded. Anyway, the mattress pad works fine. Nice warming. It's not too cold yet, so we use it to heat the bed and shut it off before we sleep. Much better than previous heating blanket and feel much safer with DC than AC volts. "

"I was battling those nasty little varmits for several months before I purchased this encasement. The key is capture them at the source. I tried diomatacious earth which is ok for border areas such as wall corners, bedpost,etc..but the key was the boxspring. This is where they were laying the eggs and migrating. It is important to ensure all sharp corners and screws are covered with tape or pounded down flat with hammer. Once the rails and corners are safeguarded, gently cover the boxspring and zip completely around. Carefully lay down on rails. Be sure to vaccum the whole area around the bed. Use Diomatacious earth around borders and bottom of bedpost. Its been three weeks and no sign of bugs! I can now sleep soundly. One note: The illustrations in the pamphlet show the mattress as opposed to box spring - Use this product on the boxspring. "

"This was really easy to get on the box spring. I had already purchased mattress covers, but had been advised that the box spring is a favorite hiding area of bed bugs. So, nabbed this one, placed on the box spring, probably about 10 days after the place was fumigated and sprayed down. Haven't had any bites since... dunno if it was truly bed bugs since none were seen, but I like my mattress enough that I figured it was worth spending the cash to have it encased... travel a lot, and really never hope to have bites like that again. "
