"I bought this while I was a mere 13 weeks with twins and I'm a small shaped (yet tall) person. I warned my husband that the reviews claimed to be large and take a lot of room, but already having sleep issues, he told to get whatever would make my nights better.
Now well into my pregnancy I can honetsly say I love this. I am a back and stomach sleeper so pregnancy has really thrown me for a loop. I toss and turn so much. If I had gotten the hook (J) style pillow it would have been a waste and kept both my husband and myself up. With the U, there isn't any repositioning, I just flop over and hug the other side.
The pillow has plenty of support while not being too stiff. I can easily grab a section and shove under my belly and push out another section to go under my knee.
I can't kick the habit of on my back so this works to push a section under a butt check so I'm on a slight angle and off "the artery". I also use extra pillows under my head and upper thoracic to put me at a 45 degree angle (passed out during an ultrasound from being on my back too long)
My Husband calls this the mom-cave as it really is a great cave of comfort during an otherwise uncomfortable time for me and the twins. Worth every penny. Do yourself a favor- buy it and then pass on the love hug to pregnant friend when done. You'll be glad you did! "
